Alongside your legal studies, you’ll choose from a wide range of multidisciplinary special electives in areas including business, psychology, technology and design. Bringing insights back into your classes enables you to view legal problems from different perspectives, craft creative client solutions, and better understand how law interacts with the wider world – equipping you to stand out as a lawyer who can bridge disciplines and add strategic insight.

Through our unparalleled industry connections and our membership with Walpole, the official UK body for the luxury sector, you’ll have opportunities to engage directly with iconic brands including Alexander McQueen, The Savoy, Meta and Google – gaining valuable insights into how law operates within luxury, as well as other sectors and organisations around the world.

In your second year, you’ll join work placements and access extra-curriculum activities like our Future Founders Programme which provides early-stage student entrepreneurs with the tools to launch a new business.

If you have an adventurous spirit and crave an engaging, hands-on law education, designed to meet the needs of a changing profession, this is the course for you! You’ll graduate with the expertise to qualify as a lawyer, as well as the adaptability, creativity and entrepreneurial thinking that's essential for the legal sector – empowered to define your own future in law, wherever your ambitions take you.

Professional alignment

This course has been designed to take into account the Bar Standards Board's (BSB) requirements of the Academic Stage of training – covering the seven foundations of legal knowledge. The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) no longer regulates the content of law degrees, but this course nevertheless provides a strong grounding in the foundational legal knowledge that is tested in Stage 1 of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.

Please note, however, that this is an undergraduate law degree and not an SQE test preparation course. Additionally, students wishing to practise law outside of England and Wales should consult the professional or statutory body/bodies in the relevant jurisdiction(s) to satisfy themselves that this course meets all relevant requirements. Extra training and/or qualifications may be required depending on career and jurisdiction of qualification.

Premium study materials

Students will also benefit from access to Law Trove, a digital collection of textbooks and study materials published by Oxford University Press (OUP). This comprehensive legal library provides:

  • 200+ full text law e-books
  • Coverage of key subjects, including contract, criminal, tort and constitutional law
  • High-quality, authoritative content from Oxford University Press
  • Powerful search functionality across multiple titles to support research and revision

This premium access will enhance your learning experience, providing students with a significant advantage in their legal studies – an opportunity not widely available across UK law providers.

Throughout your studies, we’ll explore how to respond to the evolving climate emergency through informed decisions and zero-carbon strategies – aligning with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Graduate Attributes and the University’s B Corp certification.
