Based in a coastal city with direct access to the Dove Marine Laboratory, Newcastle’s marine degrees offer extensive hands-on training in marine biology, oceanography, and environmental monitoring. Students participate in regular fieldwork along the North Sea coast and benefit from the use of the RV Princess Royal, the university’s 15-metre catamaran research vessel equipped with advanced sampling and sonar equipment. Entry Requirements

Typically, we would prefer applicants to submit 3 AP tests or class scores with scores or grades of 544 or ABB. However, some courses will require higher scores or grades (up to a maximum of 555 or AAA).

In place of each AP test we may also consider an ACT or SAT score, an honors class or dual enrolment class.
